We waited about 10 minutes before being taken back, which was great, we filled out paperwork and a guy came in to tell us that she did indeed need stitches. He left and about 30 minutes later came back and applied topical lidocaine(a numbing agent) to her booboo and made us wait 30 minutes for it to be numb enough to stitch. Then two nurses from hell came in, wrapped poor Kailyn in a thick blanket to restrain her arms and threw a towel over her face with a small hole where the wound on her forehead was. You can guess that being restrained and blindfolded didn't go over well with Kailyn and she screamed and cried so loud she popped bloodvessels all over her face. It..was..HORRIBLE. I wanted to jump over the bed and knock the nurse out. I called her every name in the book. I feel bad, I know she was just doing her job, but it is absolutely awful seeing your poor baby that way.. I was mortified. We go back in 6 days to take them out, so we will see how that goes..
Here's a picture of my poor girl at the ER, waiting to get her stitches (the patch on her head is the numbing jelly)
Will post the Easter Bunny pictures asap.
