Emergency room trip

We had to make an emergency trip to the hospital today. We went to the mall, got pictures taken of Kailyn with the Easter Bunny (which turned out awesome), and decided to grab a piece of pizza afterwards. Jason and Kailyn sat down and I went to get drinks. I heard Kailyn screaming and hurried back, and Kailyn was gushing blood from her forehead. Jason said she had fallen and hit her head on the bench of the booth we were sitting at. We rushed to the ER and she had to have three stitches put in her poor little head. We called my mom to let her know what was going on and of course a very concerned mamou (what kailyn calls her) showed up at the ER not much later. And thank God- because I would have probably strangled someone if it wasn't for her keeping me calm(ish)!

We waited about 10 minutes before being taken back, which was great, we filled out paperwork and a guy came in to tell us that she did indeed need stitches. He left and about 30 minutes later came back and applied topical lidocaine(a numbing agent) to her booboo and made us wait 30 minutes for it to be numb enough to stitch. Then two nurses from hell came in, wrapped poor Kailyn in a thick blanket to restrain her arms and threw a towel over her face with a small hole where the wound on her forehead was. You can guess that being restrained and blindfolded didn't go over well with Kailyn and she screamed and cried so loud she popped bloodvessels all over her face. It..was..HORRIBLE. I wanted to jump over the bed and knock the nurse out. I called her every name in the book. I feel bad, I know she was just doing her job, but it is absolutely awful seeing your poor baby that way.. I was mortified. We go back in 6 days to take them out, so we will see how that goes..

Here's a picture of my poor girl at the ER, waiting to get her stitches (the patch on her head is the numbing jelly)

Will post the Easter Bunny pictures asap.
